UPSC SCRA Exam Pattern 2023: Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) exam is an entrance exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). It’s for the recruitment of railway officers by the central government. Candidates from all over the country apply for this test, that is conducted at various test centers throughout the country. 

Candidates appearing for final academic test or if the results of the qualifying exam is awaited, are considered eligible to apply for the job examination. Applicants get selected on the basis of written exam, followed by personality test. Solely those candidates who have qualified within the entrance exam are called for test, that is also conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Exam pattern followed for SCRA examination is given below.

SCRA 2023 Exam Pattern:

The written examination carries maximum of 600 marks.
It consists of three objective type papers of two hundred marks each.
Personality test carrying a maximum of two hundred marks is supposed for only those candidates who are declared qualified within the written examination.
The papers in all the subjects consists of Objective (multiple choice answers) type queries solely.
The question paper (Test Booklets) is about in English solely.
SI units is used where needed.
The question paper is just about of the Intermediate standard.

SCRA Syllabus 2023:

Union Public Service Commission conducts the Special class Railway Apprentices’ Examination to select candidates for the Mechanical Department of Indian Railways. The SCRA test pattern details given below.

SCRA Personality Test:

A merit list is ready on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the entrance test. According to that merit list, only selected applicants get called for the personality test.
