NATIONAL ACADEMY AND NAVAL DEFENCE ACADEMY EXAMINATION
The recruitment of candidates for the army, navy and Air Force Wings of the National Defence Academy (NDA) is through entrance examination National Defence Academy which is held twice a year, usually in April September. NDA review is conducted by the Public Utilities Commission of the Union (UPSC). A candidate must be male and unmarried sex.
Candidates Joining Indian Naval Academy would be subject to four-year courses and be given the opportunity to join the executive and technical Navy subject to the availability of power.
(I) a candidate to clearly specify the services you want to be considered in the order of preference is required. It is also advisable to indicate as many preferences you choose which given its place in the order of merit consideration can be given to your preferences when making appointments.

If a candidate chooses the National Defence Academy as their first choice, you must first indicate their preferences for different wings of National Defence Academy namely Army, Navy and Air Force followed his preference for Naval Academy (Executive Power). On the other hand, if a candidate chooses the (executive) Naval Academy as their first choice, you must first indicate their preference for the (Executive) Naval Academy as their first choice, followed by their preference for different wings of the national Academy Defence. Thus, candidates who opt for the (Executive) Course Naval Academy and other courses at the National Defence Academy must give Naval (Executive) Academy as a first preference or last preference. Naval (Executive) Academy can not be given as a 2nd or 3rd preference. Although the Naval (Executive) Academy is given as a 2nd or 3rd preference for a candidate, it must be considered the last choice.
(Iv) Admission to the mentioned courses will be made on the results of the written examination to be conducted by the Commission followed by intelligence and personality by candidates to the Selection Council tests services that are eligible for consideration written.

Eligibility (NDA and NA (I) 2017):
A candidate must be:
1. A citizen of India, or
2. A subject of Bhutan, or
3. A subject of Nepal or
4. Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling permanently in India
5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and African countries in eastern Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention to settle permanently in India.
Provided that the previous candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) must be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
This qualification certificate shall not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who have relapsed Gorkha in Nepal.
(B) Limits on age, sex and marital status:
A candidate must be a single male and born early 2nd January 1998 and no later than 1 January 2001.
Candidates should not marry before completing their full training. A candidate who marries after the date of your application, but success will not be selected for training.
A candidate who marries during training will be discharged and will be responsible for the repayment of all expenses incurred by him in the government.
(C) Academic Preparation:
1. For the wing of the Academy of National Defence of the army – pass Class 12 of the School Education or equivalent structure 10 + 2 examination by a State Education Board or a University.
2. In the case of Naval Wings of the Academy of National Defence and Air Force Cadet Scheme + 2 10 Entry into the Naval Academy India: – Class 12 pass 10 + 2 patterns of School Education or equivalent with physics and mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in Class 12 under the pattern of school education or equivalent examination 10 + 2 can also be applied.
(D) Physical Standards: Applicants must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to the examination of the Academy of National Defence and the Naval Academy, as instructed:
Applicants are invited to correct minor/sore defects to accelerate the completion of the medical examination in the military hospital after being recommended in the SSB. Then the evils that are considered common minor ailments:
Cera (ears), deviated nasal septum, hydrocele/phimosis, overweight/underweight, size under the breast, Pilas, gynecomastia, tonsillitis, varicocele
Recommended by the service candidate selection committee will be submitted to a medical examination by a board of medical services workers. Only candidates will be admitted to the academy who are declared fit by the medical board. The minutes of the Medical Committee is confidential and may be disclosed to anyone. However, unfit candidates will be intimidated by the President of the Medical Board and the Medical Board of Appeal application procedure also suggested the candidate.
The candidates declared unfit for medical Appeal Board will be to understand about the disposal of the Commission for medical review.
(A) The applicant must be in good physical and mental health and free of illness/disability that may interfere with the efficient performance of military duties.
(B) There should be no evidence of weak constitution, bodily defects or low birth weight. The candidate must not be overweight or obese.
(C) The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cm. (162.5 cm for the Air Force)
