Minimum Height Required For Girls To Join The Indian Air Force: As an officer within the Indian Air Force, you may inherit a glorious heritage and timeless traditions of the IAF, blended perfectly with the most recent technology. Broadly the Air Force has 3 branches with further sub-streams:
1. Flying Branch:
a. Fighters
b. Transports
c. Helicopters
Height & Weight:
Minimum 162.5 cms.
Leg Length: Min 99 cms, Max 120 cms.
Thigh Length: Max 64 cms.
Sitting Height: Min 81.5 cms. Max 96 cms.
Proportionate to the height and age.
2. Technical Branch:
a. Mechanical
b. Electronics
Height & Weight: Minimum height for girls candidates minimum acceptable height is 152 cms. (For Gorkhas and individual belonging to hills of North-Eastern region of India, Garhwali and Kumaon, the minimum acceptable height are five cms less. just in case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height are by two cms less. Applicable to men and women). Proportionate to the height and age.
