CDS 2023: Application Form, Dates, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus, Admit Card

CDS 2023 Application Form will be released soon. Combined Defence Services Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice in a year. CDS 2023 Exam is a national level entrance examination for choosing the eligible candidates in Defence Services.

The candidates should prepare for the CDS exam, those who want to join Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA) and Officer’s Training Academy (OTA). the selection for IMA, INA, AFA, and OTA would be given within the application within the order of preference. CDS 2023 Application Form:

The application form is often submitted via online mode only at the official website. Candidates need to visit the official website of the UPSC for registration. Before filling the application form, candidates must need to read the instruction carefully. The registration process will contain two parts i.e. Part-I and Part-II. more than one application won’t be entertained. the online application form is going to be issued from the web site. Fill all the small print carefully and submit the application form.

CDS 2023 Application Fee:

Payment of the fee is often done using Net Banking, Debit Card/Credit Card or by cash at SBI Bank.
The application fee to finish the application procedure is going to be Rs. 200/-.
Candidate belonging to SC/ST category and all-female candidates are exempted from paying the fee.

CDS 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:
Candidate must be a citizen of India or a topic of Bhutan or Nepal or
A Tibetan refugee who came here to India before 1st January 1962 to calm down here permanently.

Age Limit:
The age limit for IMA, INA, and AFA is 20 to 24 years and for OTA, the age limit is 25 years.

Marital Status:
Candidate should be unmarried for the Indian Military Academy and Indian Naval Academy.
For Air Force Academy, candidate below 25 years should be unmarried.

Educational qualification:
For IMA and OTA: A degree holder from a recognized university are going to be eligible.
For Air Force Academy: Bachelor of Engineering or a degree holder from any recognized university with Physics and arithmetic at intermediate (10+2) level.
Indian Naval Academy: A degree holder in Engineering from a recognized university/Institution.

Physical and Mental Standard:
The applicant must be physically and mentally sound concerning the criteria prescribed for the Combined Defence Service Examination.

CDS Exam Pattern 2023:

Negative marking: for every wrong answer, one-third of marks allotted thereto question is going to be deducted

CDS 2023 Syllabus:

The syllabus for the CDS 2023 exam is given as:
English: inquiries to test understanding of English and workmanlike use of words
General Knowledge: Current Affairs, Scientific Aspects, Indian History, Geography, etc
Elementary Mathematics: Algebra, Arithmetic, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Statistics, and Geometry.

CDS 2023 Admit Card:

Candidates can download they admit card from the web site upsconline.nic.in around three weeks before the exam.
Admit card is often downloaded using the registration id, date of birth, etc of the candidates.
After downloading, the candidates should take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the exam center.
Any candidate within the absence of admit card won’t be allowed to appear for his or her exam.
The candidates should preserve their admit card as it also will be required at further stages of the selection process.

CDS 2023 Result:

The results of the written test are going to be made available on the UPSC official website.
It is expected that the result for the CDS I exam is going to be declared in May 2023 which of CDS II within December 2023.
A list of the candidates who qualify the written test are going to be prepared by the commission.
Such candidates are going to be allowed to require part within the interview round conducted at Services Selection Centres.

CDS 2023 Interview:

Candidates qualifying the exam are required to register themselves on the recruiting directorate website.
Such candidates will then be invited for the interview as per the schedule decided by the commission.
Those reporting for the interview must carry their important documents together with them for verification.
Applicants reporting without the certificates won’t be allowed to seem for the interview.

CDS 2023 Selection Procedure:

Candidates who clear both the written exam and also the SSB interview is going to be considered for final selection.
The final selection of the candidates is going to be subject to the successful verification of documents and eligibility of the candidates.
The candidates for Air Force and Naval Aviation will need to clear the Pilot Aptitude Test to be eligible for selection.
Those who have failed this test earlier won’t be considered for selection in Air Force and Naval Aviation.
